Sable™ Seek® contains FD&C dyes in a glycol base which stain carious dentine green to help make it easier to identify and differentiate it from pulp, even in deeper preparations. Caries indicators are necessary to identify and remove caries. They help prevent secondary caries and are used to identify demineralised dentine at the time of treatment, which must be removed to improve the bond strength of adhesive restorations.
