Identium® is a new line of impression materials made from Vinysiloxanether® a new chemical created from a combination of polyether and A-silicone. Vinylsiloxanether® combines the best properties A-silicones (e.g., high elasticity) and polyethers (hydrophilicity). Furthermore, Vinylsiloxanether® has neither the disagreeable smell or taste associated with polyethers: - Extremely hydrophilic, even in the presence of moisture: high definition even in difficult situations. - Ideal elasticity means the impression is easily removed from the mouth, with elastic recovery close to 100%. - High flowability penetrates the gingival sulcus and the most restricted spaces. - Appropriate working (2’) and intra-oral setting times (3’30’’) give a total setting time of 5’30’’. Available in fast version with shorter working (1’15’’) and intra-oral setting times (2’15’’); giving a total time of 3’30”. - High tear resistance eliminates the risk of damaging the impression when removing from the mouth. - Long-lasting dimensional stability: model demoulding can be postponed without running the risk of dimensional changes. - Odourless and tasteless for improved patient comfort. - Compatible with the most common disinfectants: impression decontaminated safely and without any contraindications. The Identium® range contains three products specifically designed for the one-step impression technique. Identium® Medium: medium viscosity with high final hardness for bridges, crowns, implants and inlays/onlays using the one-step technique. - Identium® Heavy: high viscosity indicated for bridges and crowns, implants and inlays/onlays using the double mix technique in combination with Identium® Light. Identium® Light: low-viscosity impression material that complements Identium® Heavy for use in the double mix technique, with the same indications for use. Available in 50ml cartridges.
