GC has launched their new EQUIA concept, an aesthetic restorative system based on glass ionomer technology: quick, easy to use, aesthetic and durable. The name EQUIA stands for Easy, Quick, Unique, Intelligent, Aesthetic. - Easy: Easy because the restoration is moisture-tolerant, no rubber dam is required, and its self-adhesive properties produce a chemical bond without any acid etching, primer or adhesive. - Quick: Quick because the restoration can be placed in a single step, with no need for layering techniques. And only one layer of G-Coat is required to finish the process. The restoration is finished in just 3 minutes and 15 seconds. - Unique: Unique, a fast, safe and aesthetic restorative system whose nanofillers in the G-Coat coating infiltrate and disperse to provide long-lasting protection to the restoration and margin. - Intelligent: Intelligent because over time, the restoration achieves a hardness comparable to that of modern composites. Together with high fluoride release, this ensures a long life span. - Aesthetic: Aesthetic because this system is more translucent than conventional ionomers, producing better colour matching and highly aesthetic restorations, reinforced by the use of the G-Coat Plus™ coating.
