Futar® D is a bite registration A-silicone with an extremely high final hardness (Shore D 43). The final hardness of Futar® D gives the material maximum stiffness to prevent unwanted deformation or displacement once placed on the model. This elevated hardness also means Futar® D can be trimmed with a drill. Futar® D is thixotropic so will not slump or run into interproximal spaces. The working time of 30 seconds is enough for full-arch registration. The mouth retention time is 1 minute 30 seconds.
