The Bionova® BT20 Biological Indicator is designed to control vacuum-assisted steam sterilization processes at 121 - 134 ºC and for steam sterilization cycles with air displacement by gravity at 121 - 134 ºC. If the sterilization process was not successful, the indicator medium will change from purple to yellow after incubation at 60±2 ºC, thus indicating the presence of live Geobacillus Stearothermophilus spores. If the sterilization process was correct, the indicator medium will remain purple, and the final reading should be taken after 24 hours of incubation of the indicator at 60±2 ºC
