Pure calcium hydroxide. Calasept® is sterile, pure calcium hydroxide in ready-to-use syringes. It can be applied quickly and easily with one hand, eliminating the risk of drawing air into the calcium hydroxide and thus preventing its conversion to calcium carbonate. Its high calcium hydroxide content also gives it a pronounced bactericidal effect. Calasept® stimulates formation of dentine bridges and hard tissue barriers in the roots. It can also be used for step-wise excavation, thanks to its bactericidal effect on carious dentine.
