Bio-Gen is a fully deantigenised, osteoconductive, collagen-free bone material of equine origin, to be used for filling or reconstructing bone defects in the buccal and maxillofacial region. - The manufacturing procedure without calcination guarantees superior osteogenesis. - Fully resorbable. - Excellent handling. - Available as spongy, cortical and mixed granules, obtained from blocks taken from the femoral section. - Bio-Gen Spongy: 0.5mm granules. - Resorption time: 4-6 months. - Bio-Gen Cortical: 1mm granules. - Resorption time: 9-12 months. Bio-Gen Mixed: 0.5-1mm granules. - Mixture of cortical (30%) and spongy (70%) bone. - Resorption time: 6-9 months. - Highly hygroscopic, allowing it to be used to transport liquid medicines. - End tissue consisting of a mineral bone matrix, with no change to anatomical structure.
